Lent Week 2- Dependence- Day 7

What I am writing is derived from the Mosaic Bible and Bible scripture but I have also included my perspective and insight. Reading Psalm 121 and Mark 8:31-38.  The reading in my Mosaic Bible talks about relationships and how they are important. We are created to be relational. Even though our society wants to make you think you have to do it all on your own, you can’t. Dependence on God and others is a gift in weak moments of our own. We can depend on God and trust Him because His relationship toward us is important to Him. If we trust Him we will be guided by Him. Relationship with Jesus is important now because it will affect our eternal life later. Jesus wants us to side with Him and give up this earthly life to have eternal life with Him. If we are ashamed of Him on earth He will be the same toward us in heaven in the presence of His Father and the holy angels. We should depend on Jesus now and commune with Him, be joyful in this relationship with Him.When we see Him in eternity our joy will be complete. Read Romans 4:1-25. We depend on Jesus for being our sacrifice for our sins. Without Jesus there is no eternal life. No hope for the ones who do not have faith in Jesus and trust Him for their salvation.

Trail to the Tree- Day 7- Spirit Lighting

Scripture reading is about Jesus getting baptized by John to carry out the will of God and John saw the Spirit descending on Jesus and heard a voice from heaven say, ” This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”

Ann says: Today bring Father great joy by living the fruits of the Spirit. Think on the Spirit descending on the Son and let Him light today upon you.

Because of Jesus’ relationship with God the Father He wanted to do God’s will. This brought great joy to God. When we honor our relationship with Jesus and follow Him, we are doing God’s will also. God is filled with great joy over us too. We also are filled with joy because the Holy Spirit inside of us causes us to do God’s will. This brings us great joy.

Day 1- Get your thinking straight and be in God’s presence

Day 2- Be reading the Bible and trust God

Day 3- Reverence, worship and praise God and Jesus for who God is and what Jesus has done.

Day 4- Be faithful to Him and He will be faithful to fill you. Look to Jesus with gratitude and prayer.

Day 5- Notice the miserable and suffering, ask God to reveal them so I can tell them the Good News that there is hope and there is a Savior, His name is Jesus!

Day 6- Stay close to God with a repented heart. He will bring life out of the mundane if I trust Him to do it.

Day 7- Relationship means dependence. Depend on your relationship with Jesus to do God’s will and bring Him joy and joy to yourself.
