On December 28, 2011, this word “Chronos” was brought to my mind as I was waking up. I had never heard of it and was curious to know the meaning. So, I looked it up on the computer and found out the Greek meaning is time.  Our time, meaning the time continuum  that we live in. Then I found the Greek word “Kairos” which means God’s time in eternity. Chronos is sequential time  and karios is the appointed time and purpose of God. The time when God acts. God interacts and enters our time according to His perfect will. This is why living with God is so exciting! You never know when He will intervene in your life and witness a miracle!  Imagine two hour glasses side by side. One has sand going through it,  while the other does too, but it also has blue and red balls passing through. The plain sand [chronos time] is  a life without Jesus, no kairos moments. The other has sand which are those regular days, but it also has the red and blue balls that represent kairos moments where God intervened and miracles were experienced.

I watched a movie once called In Time with Justin Timberlake. Everyone had clocks embedded in their arms. The clocks started to countdown when the people turned 25. At that moment they began living as slaves to time. Instead of working for money they worked for time. Everything was based off time instead of money. If the clock ran out, they died. So, because of this they were always giving time away to each other, sharing their time if some one was low, spending time wisely and always watching time so it wasn’t wasted. I learned from this to use my time wisely, give time lavishly, share my time with someone who needs it, and to remember I have 24 hours a day to do what I need to do, what God has called me to do. I won’t waste time doing what I want, but what God wants so that He may be glorified! Our days are counted by God and what we do with them will be accounted for. The things we do with a pure heart, the things led by the Holy Spirit, will be the moments that won’t be burned up. Those moments last forever.

My mom had a dream about a book. It was red with gold letters and the title was Some Time in Time.  I had a revelation that the book represents all the time we spent on earth doing what the Holy Spirit directed us to do.  At the end of a christian’s life there will be accountability. The scripture First Corinthians 3: 12-15 says   If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames. The scripture is saying   you have be saved by grace by just believing in Christ but the one who builds on that belief, the one who follows the Holy Spirit, they will have a reward. This reward is then given to Jesus because in reality it’s Him doing the work through us. The book was red with gold letters. Red represents Jesus’ blood, His redemptive blood that redeems us. Gold represents wealth. So, the work we do according to the Holy Spirit is valuable to God.  Trust and obey what the Holy Spirit leads you to do because every little step matters to God. Philippians 1:6  being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  Romans 13:11 says And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. It is now for us, in this moment to believe. God is always in the NOW. This is how the Bible applies to us NOW.  How will you spend your time? For your own glory or God’s?
