Psalm 32:2-3, Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.3 When I kept silent,my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
When we humble ourselves and own up to our sin, seek forgiveness and repent, God clears our record of guilt. When we don’t recognize our sin we waste away and are miserable. We should be examining our heart daily to see if there are any sins the Holy Spirit is showing us and ask for help to overcome these obstacles. Repent and repeat. Prayer: I know I will never stop sinning as long as I am on earth but I pray for the Holy Spirit to remind me of my sin so I can keep a clean heart before You. I know You see me as clean already because of Jesus, but this act of confession helps me to feel spiritually clean and keeps me closer to You.

Day 23
The scripture reading is about how the Pharisee’s preached one way but lived another way. They only cared about outward appearances while their heart was far from God.
Ann says: Repent in taking pride in what we see in mirrors more than what You, God, see in my heart…
It’s so easy to get caught up in the worlds way and forget God’s way. This is the fight we wrestle with every day. Choosing God’s way. As Paul said we do what we don’t want to do. Romans 7:15-20, 5 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[a] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. We know God only looks at the heart of a person. 1 Samuel 16:7,But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” So what I need to be concerned with in myself is determining whether my heart is clean, not if I look good physically. True beauty comes from within. If my heart is troubled or hard it shows on my face. If I have been spending time in the Word and in the presence of God it shows on my face. Just like when Moses glowed after receiving the 10 Commandments. Exodus 34:29-32, When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord. 30 When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him. 31 But Moses called to them; so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him, and he spoke to them. 32 Afterward all the Israelites came near him, and he gave them all the commands the Lord had given him on Mount Sinai. This is true beauty, when people see Jesus inside of us.
Day 21- Go about doing good as Jesus did.
Day 22- It’s the sin God hates!
Day 23- True beauty comes from a clean heart that sees God
